le tour de femme is where it all began for me.

I started out riding with Ron and the Grab My Wheel team in Apex—showing up for weekly rides on my heavy Walmart bike, just happy to be part of the movement. le tour de femme isn’t just a ride—it’s a powerful event that raises funds and awareness to support women battling cancer. From the very beginning, it reminded me that cycling can be a tool for healing, empowerment, and community.

When I finally upgraded to a “real” bike, everything changed. A light switched on. My confidence grew, and so did my passion for cycling.

Nine years later, I’m still riding—and now I’m part of a sisterhood that supports and uplifts women through every mile. As the Shero of Black Girls Do Bike: Raleigh-Durham, I’ve seen firsthand how much power there is in riding together, cheering each other on, and creating space where women—especially women of color—feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

We ride for joy, for health, for purpose—and for each other. 💜🚴🏾‍♀️
