Hey y'all!

I'm riding in le Tour de Femme this year, and I need YOUR support! We ALL know someone who has lived with (and died with) cancer.

I started this as a personal challenge for myself - I want to get healthier and lose weight. Cycling is great exercise - and working towards a goal of riding the full metric century (100 km/62 mi) is going to keep me motivated through the summer.

PLEASE donate what you can! Do it for the memory of someone you've lost, or for the hope of someone living with it right now. All donations (100%) go to the Livestrong Foundation and the Rex Hospital Angel Fund. You can also volunteer on Ride day - and cheer me on while I'm out there sweating my rear end off. I'm very excited to be a part of this for the first time, and hopefully not the last.

"Your biggest challenge isn't someone else. It's the ache in your lungs and the burning in your legs, and the voice inside you that yells 'CAN'T", but you don't listen. You just push harder. And then you hear the voice whisper 'can'. And you discover that the person you thought you were is no match for the one you really are."

I will be carrying the names of those for whom I'm riding when I roll out the morning of the Tour. If you have someone you'd like for me to add to the list, please let me know.

Teresa Klenk Worth - my sister-in-law (Cancer survivor!)
Shawn Catherine Fisher - my "Big Sister" (Cancer survivor!)

Linda Jane Parrish Wohlwinder - Ms Lindy (Ovarian cancer) - May 14, 1947 - June 24, 2011
E. Wayne Urstadt - my Uncle "Troll" (Lung Cancer) - March 8, 1942 - October 23, 1995
Joseph Holmes - "Dad Joe"
