I have a strong passion in the fight against cancer after watching my mother suffer through her illness in 2008 and her death in 2009, almost one year to the day from her diagnosis. In fact, many of my family members and some friends have either suffered from and/or passed from cancer. I believe in Grab My Wheel and the Le Tour de Femme ride and their mission that those affected by cancer should not fight alone or ride alone. I believe that great progress has been made due to the institutions dedicated to finding a cure and that proactively preventing cancer, as well as successful treatments, are becoming more of a reality. I believe their success is largely due to those who support them.
Financial support is still necessary in order for the fight to continue! It would be nothing short of phenomenal if a cure were found in our lifetime or the lifetime of our children. It's about awareness, prevention, treatment and support .. and one day, maybe even a cure!!!
I ride in memory of my mother, Elena Bari May she rest in peace with all my love.
