June Louise Elliott "Ride for Cancer Treatment"

I am doing this ride in honor of family and friends (both human and non-human) who suffered and deteriorated from lymphoma, and close family friends who are struggling with a family member with metastatic cancer.  I am riding for causes that others cannot. 

I have 75% lung capacity and it has been a long arduos process to begin to feel and look like the athlete I once was.  This is due to a lung collapse in May of last year.  I want to show that if I can complete my miles, that the sky is the limit for all my athlete friends, relatives, and doctors treatiing me.  Moreover, it will provide me the promise that the best days as an athlete are still ahead of me.  I intend to build up my speed, technique and endurance to do this for future charity rides.

Although this is a woman's event, the money raised will benefit men and woman of all ages.  Money raised will be used for both research, and cancer survivorship programs.
