Let’s Help Care for those with Cancer and try to Stop All Cancers! 

Le Tour de Femme is a women's only biking event scheduled for October 14, 2017 in Cary, North Carolina. The event is organized by Grab My Wheel to benefit two local charities – the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and Rex Healthcare Foundation’s Angel Fund.

I am participating in this event in honor of my family members who have had cancer (my father and 3 of my grandparents).  Also, I am participating for myself, a survivor of the "social cancers” of assault and domestic violence.  As most of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  But, it is also Domestic Violence Awareness month.  What better way to take a stand against all cancers then to get out and ride and experience the freedom of 2 wheels! 

The funds raised by your generosity to my Le Tour de Femme fundraising effort go specifically to cancer research and support.  In response to your generosity, I will personally make partial match donations to help local organizations that work to fight “social cancer”: 1) InterAct of Wake County (a private, non-profit, United Way agency that provides safety, support, and awareness to victims and survivors of domestic violence and assault), 2) the North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCCADV), and 3) North Carolina Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NCCASA). 

My personal fundraising goal for Le Tour de Femme is $1000. Please help me raise money for these wonderful organizations.
