I've raised$2,120My Goal$2,000

This year, as I have done every year since 2013, I'll be riding a metric century (62.4 miles) on Saturday, October 14th with a group of terrific ladies and some even better friends at Le Tour de Femme (LTDF) in Cary, NC. This is the 12th year of the event.

This event's mission is to raise community awareness and funding for Cancer Research and Cancer Survivorship programs. This year, LTDF will continue to support the Rex Hospital Angel Fund as well as continuing of its support of last year's new beneficiary, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund .

I lost my father on Wednesday, February 8th 2012 due to a cancer named squamous cell carcinoma that metastasized into the base of his brain. Unfortunately, it seems that since then, I have continually had to add names to those I'm riding in memory or in honor of. So I'll go ahead and say it. I'm absolutely tired of seeing cancer wreck havoc on its victims and those left in its path. I'm tired of hearing another friend or another relative or another coworker who has been diagnosed and has to go through the fight for their lives. But I'm not too tired to fight on these people's behalf. Maybe I can't go through the chemo or the radiation for them, but I can do this one small thing in their honor and memory. Because in the fight against cancer, no one rides alone.

If you would like to donate to the LTDF, please go to:

My fundraising goal is $1000.
